Med-Con’s underpads are proudly made in Australia at our Shepparton Factory. Underpads have many applications but are primarily used as a barrier to protect operative, diagnostic, bedding and chair surfaces from body fluids* and common medical solutions. Additionally underpads can be used to protect instrument trays and benches from moisture or chemicals. Where hygiene control between clients is essential and protecting your work surfaces from contamination, an underpad is an excellent choice. Applicable for Beauty industries, tattooing and alternative therapies.
Composition:
Layers of tissue absorb the fluid while the PE plastic backing ensures the spill does not penetrate onto the surface covered. The SBPP top layer in contact with the client is soft and non-irritating. Tissue layers provide the wicking medium to draw or transfer moisture from one area to another. Note this takes time and is not an instantaneous process. Good contact with the PP cover layer is recommended to facilitate this action.
Available formats:
Available in 4, 5 and 8 ply, full and 1/2 sizes, there is a pad to suit your application needs.
We recommend that the underpad is replaced as soon as the procedure is finished or there is obvious soiling.
*Not designed to be an incontinence product.
